All my life I wanted to be an artist. However, my father said that as an artist I will always go hungry. I thought that he was right and exchanged my love of art for medicine and became a doctor.
In 2008 my dream to become an artist started to come true. I took regular classes at Swinton's and participated in workshops with known Canadian artists like Doug Swinton, Ingrid Christensen, Martinho Corea, Neil Peterson, Chantal Barber, Cameron Lee Roberts and many more. Under the tutelage of Loretta Secord, I stated learning about composition and design, choosing my colour palette and finding my own style. I absolutely love to paint landscapes since they are ever changing and offer a wide range of subjects, colours and shapes. In my paintings, I am trying to portray the nature's beauty through the lense of my mood. I have participated in several student art shows and in 2016 I had my own exhibition in Hlohovec, Slovakia. |
