I have always had a keen interest in all forms of art. As a child I would sit and draw for hours on end. My most memorable gift as a child was an Art Set that had pencils, crayons, charcoal, pastels, and paints. I was in heaven; I couldn’t wait to get started. Today, my pieces reflect who I am; how I see the world, what is important to me and what I find beauty in. Nature is a gift; it is both fascinating and reassuring at the same time. Nothing relaxes and revitalizes me more than a hike in the mountains, a walk through the park or meandering down a long stretch of beach. I love the outdoors, the vibrant colours, textures and little surprises that it offers are such a pleasure to experience and to capture on canvas. I am still finding my way when it comes to the mediums and subject matter that I choose. currently I work in Oils and love the movement of it on my canvas. Sometimes I use my brushes, sometimes I use my pallet knives. But down the road, who knows, I hope I never stop trying new things.
